This system provides post measurement output data of truck, trailer and cabin size, position, heights and volume of the trailer (tarp off).
The system includes three synchronised 3D point cloud cameras mounted in a calibrated frame, with main controller integrated in the measurement system. The system can automatically detect a truck as it moves past the system and generates an accurate 3D model, allowing the system to post process with final measurement results. Input data can be provided to the system to enable internally measurement cross-checking against found results, providing self-managed control feedback to an external system, and can be integrated to any industrial ethernet communication networks.
Clever camera design allow angle adjustment of the two main cameras to suit the field of view requirements of an application. The camera can detect up to 180 degrees (from system mounting), adjustable down to 60 degree which offers flexibility on truck measurement length and accuracy. The system is capable of detecting up to three trailers on a semi-truck.

It is recommended to install the Truck Dimension Unit at 8 metres high, on a flat section of concrete for best results. At this height, trailers up to 14m (standard) can be measured accurately as the truck moves under the system.
