4D Vision technologies can give robots human-like speed, sight and perception. It’s now possible to make your picking, packaging and assembly work cells fast, reliable and precise.
With 4D vision process, the scene is captured by a combination of 2D/3D cameras and those images are run through our proprietary software & technology. The images are combined into a world perspective and understanding of the scene, where single objects are identified as pickable, making the robot imaging faster and more adept than previous systems.
The robot is given pose estimation and path planning information through our software embedded in the controller, with a safe path derived to avoid collisions. The object is picked and placed with precise and accurate results.
3D vision systems are able to provide a digital perspective of the environment and objects in the field, translatable into useable digital data. With this object perspective known as point cloud, it provides ‘eyes’ to robots so systems can detect, process, and perform a given task. 3D vision is scalable on application but with combination 2D camera, provides a human perception with wide dynamic range images in an extreme working distance, colour and depth perception on virtually any object.
2D vision systems typically utilize industrial-grade cameras capable of capturing high-resolution images or video at a fast frame rate. These cameras may feature various sensor types (CMOS or CCD), different resolutions, lens options, and connectivity interfaces (USB, Ethernet, etc.). These systems are widely used in industrial automation, robotics, quality control, and various other applications where visual inspection, measurement, and recognition tasks are required.
With appropriate calibration and measurement techniques, 2D vision systems can accurately measure various parameters such as length, width, angle, distance, and shape of objects within the captured images. This allows for precise dimensional analysis and quality assessment in manufacturing processes.
Being specialists in complex 2D, we understand the techniques to extract features for your application.
Barcode detection smart cameras are typically small field of view, one to few label detection. At Vision AI we can supply reliable detection for entire pallet, racks or large field of views, with unlimited barcode detection capability, scalable for each solution and requiring minimal camera hardware.
We can provide solutions to industry challenges more complex than something ‘off the shelf’.
