Robot depalletising continues to challenge Automation, with end users requiring more versatility for product variation/sizes and mixed pallet stacks. Breaking away from the challenges of old, Vision AI have developed a complex camera unit which provides reliable and dynamic detection for this purpose.
The system incorporates 2D/3D camera technologies, with powerful dynamic software capabilities to measure and distinguish individual boxes located within a standard 4’x4′ pallet. The camera unit is scalable and can be mounted on a larger palletiser robot or fixed position post.
The system software is upgradable to allow specific measurement and detection, including supporting functions like box OCR or colour checks.
Input data can be provided to the system to enable internally measurement cross-checking against found results, providing self-managed control feedback to an external system, and can be integrated to any industrial robot or ethernet network.
